How do I claim s253?

Hello

I am going round in circles.

I have a client who closed their Ltd company, client lent company money and I have read that I need to claim under s253 but I can not find anywhere how to do it.

Is it on Self assessment, do I have to write letter or is there a form.

Any help greatly appreciated

    What tax act does s.253 belong to?

    I would have thought that declaring it on the white space of the tax return would be sufficient.

    Act TCGA s253.

    Thank you I will make the claim there. Probably also follow it with a letter.
