Hey guys, has anybody else logged in and viewed their exam status report? I don't know whether to believe it or not as I know the results aren't out until Friday?!? :001_unsure:

    Sorry, believe what?

I know there was some confusion on the ACCA Facebook page last week and loads of people thought they were getting their results on the 1st (they were just asking people to make sure they'd specified how they wanted to get their results by the 1st but a lot of people misunderstood).

PS my exam status page is blank, but my home page is slightly different to last time I logged in so I think they've updated the site.

I just logged in - my December '12 result is there... must be a glitch; just hope it's my result!

Oh, I'm now going to be spending the evening logging in and out!

    Still a blank page here!

Mmm, the ACCA website is definitely having work done on it at the moment, as before you get to the home screen, there is a screen announcing that results will be available from 5am next Friday (it wasn't there 10mins ago). With that in mind, I would imagine it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that there has been a mistake somewhere and some results have been inadvertently published. Lets hope so, as it sounds like you have both got the news you were hoping for!

Oh heavens I have just tried and I cannot access my result. I have tried ringing ACCA but there is no answer. How do I get my result?
  • EASy

Results are no longer accessible. The ACCA have released a statement on their Facebook page confirming the error.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they now release all results early, but time will tell.

What the hell are they playing at releasing some results but not others. If the exam results are ready WHY NOT GIVE THEM TO US NOW! It's completely unfair. Why make us wait another week? It's morally wrong and I will be contacting ACCA about this.

    Glynis,

Why get so angry? What do you hope to achieve by contacting ACCA? A mistake has been made, they have acknowledged it and apologised. You will get your results next Friday as you always expected you would. Ok, so a few lucky people got their results a few days early, but that doesn't adversely affect you at all. I understand you being frustrated about not being in the right place at the right time, but honestly that's all it was, a few of us were lucky enough to be online when ACCA inadvertently allowed some people to access their records. Your result may not even have been inputted yet anyway so it may even be irrelevant.

I imagine one lone person made a mistake, and are now worrying themselves silly about whether or not they are going to be in trouble at work. People ringing to complain is not going to change anything or help matters. We all make mistakes.

I hope you get the result you are hoping for on Friday.

Yes I accept that someone has made a mistake but F8 for me has been a torturous experience and to hear that I could have known yesterday makes me feel terrible. I have agonised over this paper and just want to know my result. That is what is unfair.

hang in there Glynis, I know its fustrating but we only have a couple more days.

I don't think it is possible for the ACCA to bring forward the day they release. As someone said on their FB page they are coordinating a world wide release of results, that is a lot of inputting data which I am sure is done to a very tight schedule

I like the fact we know exactly when the results are released instead of the way they are released with AAT. Fingers crossed you get the result you are hoping for. I'm waiting on my first ACCA result and I think it is more the unknown for me in terms of what is expected from a ACCA student. I would be very confident if it had been an AAT exam that I had done enough, dont know how much enough is for the ACCA

Fingers crossed we all get the result we want

So a re sit for P2 in June along with a new paper - Advanced Tax....

    Fingers crossed for everyone else

Passed both F4 and F5 but only just..

    F4 = 53%
    F5 = 51%

Would have liked to have done a bit better, but glad I just passed rather than just failed. The exams are a big step up from AAT, I will be doing a lot more studying for my next exams.

Well done c1gar on your two passes! A pass is a pass! What are you going for next in June?

Congrats Mini_Schnauzer but sorry also on P2. At least in a funny way it was only a few percentage below so you know you can pass it in June! How many P papers do you have left to take?

My result confirmed the result which was 'leaked' - pass in F4 at 67%

Well done to everyone who has passed. Sorry to see you failed P2 mini s, but I suppose it's known as The Beast for a reason :( I'll be joining you taking it in June (1st attempt).

I passed P1 with 58%, which I'm really pleased with as it was my first attempt at any of the P level papers.

For the first time since I've been getting ACCA results, my email hadn't arrived when I checked at 8am, it's just arrived in the last few minutes. I managed to access my results online though eventually, the ACCA website was expectedly very busy! They really should have a better system to cope with all the extra visits on results day. It took me about half an hour, and I had to refresh each page along the way about three or four times, but I got there in the end.

Thanks rebecca2, and congrats on your pass too :-)

Not really sure what to go for next. I want to do 2 which don't have the exam dates too close together. So I will probably attempt F6 and F8 or F7 and F9. My original plan was to do them in order, but F6 and F7 exams fall on consecutive days.

F6 - 80%. I got a sneak peek last week but it was nice to get it confirmed this morning.

On to F7, F8 and F9 in June.

Well done to everyone who passed.

Failed F8 again with an appalling score. I can't understand it at all and am devastated. Does anyone know how I go about getting it reviewed.

    Hi Glynis

I belive ACCA offer an adminsitrative review: this basicaly double checks the adding of the marks (it's not a remark) and gives detail of where mark were awarded.

You need to get yourself a copy of A student's Guide to Auditing by Alan Lewin - Kaplan Publishing. A very clear and easy to understand book. I failed F8 first time, but passed once I obtained this book. Amazon would probably have a second hand one if you look.
If not, perhaps try a completely different paper and have a break from F8. There is more to life than F8 Auditing. If you complete other papers it may help you understand Auditing better from a different angle.

You beat me by 3% Rebecca2! I passed F4 with 64%, so relived to have the first one out of the way.
    F5 and F6 in June :001_unsure:

I thought we could start entering for June exams today, but the exam entry link still says I am entered for December 2012 exams. Does anyone know when it opens?

I just logged onto to my e-mail account this morning to find I've passed ACCA F8 (75%).

Not too bad given there were a couple of questions in the exam I didn't really get the best out of.

Try and get my F9 in June now.

    Congrats to everyone who passed.

Thank you NeilH for your advice.
It seems they don't remark exams and after the IT "issue" they have I put it to ACCA that they may have got my result mixed up with another person because I worked very hard on that paper so to receive a result like I got was quite upsetting. The ACCA claim that there wasn't an issue with results being wrong and they have certain procedures in place for when the papers are being marked.
I think the ACCA should allow students who have failed to see there marked papers so we can see where we have gone wrong but they won't do that either.
I am still working out what to do but still can't believe I have failed again. I am beginning to think this paper is impossible to pass :(
