24 hours and I'll hopefully be on the train home! I can't wait for this exam to be over, but then the wait for results is awful too!

I took ATT personal tax this morning. I was surprised at how little they actually test you on 12 small questions and 3 large ones. Also surprised at how quickly the exam time went :001_unsure: I have never written so much and to be honest I ran out of time.

Fingers crossed it was my lucky day or I will be resitting in November!!!

    How did everyone else do?

    :(
There were 4 long form, and 12 short form. I think I may get about 40% overall, so not great! Oh well. November resits here I come.

There was a long form on redundancy pay and that is one area I just cannot get stuck in my head.. goes in one ear and then straight out however hard I try to retain it. So points completely lost on that one!

I loved that we got a gains on leases Q because I practiced this for so long and I got really good at it, until I realised that it says NO CALCULATIONS NEEDED. I was so disappointed! 10marks on an email explaining it instead! :(

Oh well, went for a dustbin lid pizza afterwards with my mum, so that ended my day nicely! :)

I bet you've done fine Becca, it's strange to see the weird and wonderful places unexpected marks come from (based on mocks, not real exams anyway!) :) It's very easy to stress over the parts you couldn't do rather than the parts you sailed through.

I did BTAP and think (hope) I have done enough to pass. My exam also had 12 short and 4 long, with the long questions being a sole trader losses question, a partnership accounts question, corporation tax gains and entrepreneurs relief question and a question relating to a machinery leasing business, so quite a variety!

I pretty much ran out of time so I didn't get to check anything, but still haven't had the gut wrenching realisation I've done something totally wrong!

    Fingers crossed for July!

oh my god i think i missed one question completely. I didn't see a question on leases and I had revised so much and knew all about them. Crap crap crap crap.

Nooo!! Are you sure? - It was on the back page. It was a 10 mark one. You had to explain the consequences of this woman either granting a long or short lease on one property and selling the lease on another, in an email, with no calculations.

I know I got a couple of the short forms absolutely right- so that's about 8 guaranteed marks! :) haha

I'm not going to worry, it's done now. If I pass I pass, If I fail there is always November to retry.

Good luck for your results in July. :)

Oh bugger I definitely did not see a lease question - first thing I said to my husband when I got in the car was that there were no lease question and as my nemesis I'd spent a 2 hour car journey to the exam revising them. How on earth I managed that I do not know. I can't work out if I want to cry or laugh!

Don't cry. It was a small one in comparison to the other long form's, so it may not have made too much of a difference! Hopefully! :)

I was exactly the same with Leases... revised more than anything and got really good at it, so was disappointed when I didn't need to do calculations!! I also went straight home and mentioned this to my boyfriend. :)

Forget about it now- can't change it.

Also just thought- if you were writing up to the end, then you obviously spent more time on the other questions and so will have definately got loads of marks on them :)
