    Hi
Have you checked out the guidance on extended writing tasks worksheet on myAAT?.

That pretty much sums it up really.

I have budgeting at 2pm today.. Calculation questions I should be perfectly fine with but like you I am slightly edgy about the written parts. Only studied AAT straight from the book so I guess that's why it is troubling me as well regarding written parts. The kaplan book I used wasn't the best of books imo for the written parts.

My plan for budgeting is to hopefully score really high in the calculation questions and highly in the first part of the written questions. Hopefully that will allow for a competent result even if I do walk out totally messing up the second parts in the written questions.

I'm the same as you, the calculation side of things are fine, it's the written parts that worry me despite it being something I do at work, explaining variances etc. I know I am probably worrying about nothing, but even still...

    Good luck this afternoon :)

Well the calculation side went very well, in fact I think I got full marks for the calculation questions. I'm not as confident regarding the written questions however probably scored high marks in the first part of them. The second parts im hoping I picked up at least 40 percent of the marks so overall id be surprised if i fail it. The layout was pretty much the same as the practice assessments. The questions I got for my written parts were not what I would call the easiest but nor were they the hardest. Once in the exam environment, writingbfelt easier than at home. I also had an hour and 15 mins on my written questions so wasnt time pressured. Hope this helps.

The question will not be the same as the practice assessment... may be similar but not the same.

    Good luck today SamiH

    Thanks guys :)

    I am back and HAPPY!!

Its layout and everything was just the same as the practice exams. Obviously the questions were different, but I had no problems calculating anything and I wasn't phased at all. My calcs as far as I can see were spot on, and the written questions weren't too demanding, so I managed to answer them all.

I really don't know what I was so worried about.

Obviously the shed load of revision I did, along with all the practice exams, green light and osbourne online tests did the trick :D

That's great to hear SamiH... onto the next module to keep your mind off the 'upto six weeks' wait.

Got to love that "upto 6 weeks" thing, lol. Definite dates are much better.

No next module for now. On college summer holiday, so not back to class until September :( Personally, I would have liketo have done Level 4 in a school year, not 1 year and 1 term but hey ho.
