Nearly finished Technician stage but have to do Health and Safety report as took Intermediate before it was part of the course (14 years - only short break) Not quite sure how to approch it as they don't seem to want something as detailed as MAS project. <BR><BR>Any ideas??

Hi,<BR><BR>I have just looked back at my project (from 2 yrs ago). If it still the same format, this is what I did:<BR><BR>A plan of my workplace showing safety features such as first aid cabinet, fire exstinguishers (that spelling does not look right), smoke detector ect. I also marked the areas walked along the most. and my desk, things like that.<BR><BR>A checklist of factors investigated in the workplace under headings like, Item to check eg. ventilation, Requirement eg. well ventilated, clean incoming air, no draughts, and comments, eg, good ventilation, de humidifiers used.<BR><BR>A list of exsisting and potential hazards in your workplace and whether it can safely be put right,<BR><BR>Details of the fire certificate if needed., fire extinguishers info like, the colour, contents, fires used on, how to use it ect., details of fire notices and fire procedures<BR><BR>A bit on ergonomically designed workstations (man and desk/machine fitting together in perfect harmony tra lala)<BR><BR>Accidents and first aid kits, recording of accidents, sample of accident report<BR><BR>Health and safety act<BR><BR>security in work<BR><BR>I also included a memo to my supervisor reporting my findings.<BR><BR>I hope this helps you.<BR><BR>Good luck with your project<BR>0 -

I've just completed mine and had it signed off. The format is still the same - my college told me to make it up if I could not find any examples at work. As it does not have to be signed off at work it doesn't matter!!!0 -
