New Exams
Hi

Sounds like you have one of those wondefully helpfull tutors!!!

IF your tutor has an idea of what the new papers are like, see if he/she will give you some practice tasks (which they should anyway). BPP, FTC, and Foulkes Lynch all do assessment books (called asssesment kits, workbooks etc depending on the publisher) which contain practice tasks. The tasks aren't identical to exams (in fact the BPP ones seem trickyer than the eaxms) but they will still assess your knowledge. You can still use old papers, but since they will be papers for old standards there may be certain things missing or they may contain irrlevant items. I think really the AAT should have made some pilot practice papers.

Hope this helps

Neil0 -
New Exams
Hi. The AAT have produced a practise paper for the new standards, and sent it out to colleges. We were given it a couple of weeks ago. I would have thought that your tutor should have been sent a copy. Perhaps you could ask your Head of School what's happened to it!

Scotty.0 -

in our group some are sitting the old standards, which are club and manufacturing accounts and we are sitting the new, which includes sole traders and partnerships.

we are told the old papers do not include partnerships, but are manufacturing accounts, so have been told to practice what in the book, (ftc)

scotty, can you give any info on which paper you are saying that the colleges should have got from aat on these new standards as i don't think we have had them?
thanks
kaz0 -

The aat provided specimin papers (both exams and simulations) on a cd to all accredited centres several months ago. No reason therefore why you cannot get copies.

Graham Blott0 -
