Student seeking help with MAS Project

Can anybody offer any advice to a struggling student. <BR>I work in a school (in a singleton post) and am having difficulty getting a start on the project. <BR><BR>Can anybody offer any advice?<BR><BR>Was anybody working in a similar situation when they did theirs?<BR><BR>Here's hoping ....

    Dear Student<BR><BR>It is 3 years since I did my project. There was a requirement then that the project had to focus on fraud identification and prevention specifically to do with the accounts function. Is this still the case? If so, then think about how the various documents move through the system from receipt to coding, to payment, to filing. Consider any weaknesses in that pathway where a dishonest person might interfere to create a gain for themselves. I don't just mean the people who are supposed to be handling the documents but visitors to the office, etc. <BR><BR>Also think about lax security which may allow opportunistic pilfering of the invoiced goods. This could happen on the loading dock or in transit to the final storage place.<BR><BR>Having identified the flaws, how will you go about fixing them?     Many thanks Alexander <BR><BR>I have actually made a start on the project now, outlining the structure of the organisation and roles and responsibilities of staff members, governors etc. I have started to write about fraud possibilities and implications and am thinking about some internal controls to prevent it happening. <BR><BR>Thanks again<BR><BR>NUandD<BR><BR>(which sums up my day ...numbers, urinals and drains!!)
