When claiming mileage at the suggested rates of 45p/25p can you claim for any repairs and tyres etc or does this claim cover everything?

I believe the rate covers fuel and maintenance. Indeed when VAT is claimed on mileage it is only claimed on the fuel element.

I agree with Marie; to claim for tyres, servicing etc, you'd have to start keeping logs of business vs personal use for each set of tyres, each service, etc etc. 45p/mile is far higher than just fuel cost anyway. Of course if it's a commercial vehicle owned by the company it's a different kettle of fish.
