ACCA membership fees

Hi everyone,

Need some advice on this one as I'm about to explode.

I'm struggling to pay my membership fees for ACCA this year. I thought I'd be ok not paying just yet as they are overdue by less than one month.

Had a lovely e-mail from ACCA today threatening to throw me off the register unless they are paid.

I've often thought the body was stiff and very greedy but this takes the biscuit, particularly as I've paid on time in past years.

I'm boiling mad over this.

You know there's a reduced rate if you earn less than about £6,000? Not sure of the exact amount.

I rang them today. Not interested. Pay or else attitude.

It's not even a calendar month overdue. I've always thought ACCA was a gravy train of elitist snobs and now I've been proven right.

Hi Mark,
If you log into your MYACCA online account and view your account, and view the invoice for your annual subs, it states on the top left "Invoice date 1.1.14 - payment due in 30 days - due date 31.1.14". So you are not overdue or late for paying this.

Hi Mini

Yes I received an e-mail from student services saying that and will have to beg or borrow the money from somewhere.

I was just really agitated with ACCA's attitude as I've always paid my subscriptions on time but this year things are a bit tight financially.

I think ACCA need give consideration to the fact not every student is working is some top job whose employer's pick up the tab each year.

It is hard - my employer does not pay for the yearly subs either nor any re-sits, so fingers crossed on 8 Feb!
Make sure you pay your subs by 31.1.14 otherwise you will not get your exam results issued.
