Hi everyone,
I hope you all doing good.
Just wondering whether any one had any experience of sitting three papers as well as working full time.
How hard it is to sit three papers (F4,5 & 6) on its own and only doing self studying.
Your answers and opinion will be more than welcome.
many thanks

It is possible to sit 3 papers - I did it twice with the F papers. On both occasions I passed 2 and failed 1.
I was lucky and had study leave 2 weeks before the exams so that really helped with the final swotting.
It also depends on your home life and if you have children - which would be very hard if they are young. And of course if you can afford the cost of the study books for 3 papers and the exam costs!
Good luck.0 -
I've also sat 3 papers twice. I was on maternity leave so was at home with 2 children under 2 so you could argue I was working full time! I'm now back at work full time, with 2 children under 4, a husband and the normal household chores waiting for me when I get home, so my time is incredibly limited. I've limited myself to 1 paper a session from now on as life is too short and I don't want to miss my children growing up. I always aim to get high marks so if I lowered my expectations and aimed for just over 50%, perhaps I could fit more papers in per session but I'm just not willing to risk a fail just to do the exams quicker. My exams should all be complete by the time my 3 years experience is complete anyway, so I wouldn't really gain anything anyway by doing more than 1 a session now. It all just comes down to your personal circumstances really - are most of your evenings/weekends free, do you pick things up quickly, do you work in a connected field, are you studying purely for a pass or do you want high marks? 3 is certainly possible if everything is in your favour.0

Hi
I have been wondering the same thing - I had been doing exams one at a time, then I did 2 papers together in Dec (via home study) for the first time with a busy full time job, and it near killed me! But I keep thinking if I do 3 in June and 3 next Dec then I'd be finished! (apart from retakes if I fail any), but I think the chance of failing one is higher, therefore I'll have to do retakes anyway, so I think I'm going to stick to two.
But thats just me :-) Everyone has a different way of learning and ability to absorb information. Good luck whatever you decide.0 -
Hey Guys,
Thank you very much for sharing your experiences.
Well, I just think now that three exams are way too much for me, firstly because I haven't started any study yet and secondly I live in a share flat with my friends who are having a party every single night.
But I guess I will stick myself with two exams per session and then I will see how far I drag myself into it. ACCA is pretty tough and all papers are very intensive.
Anyway thank you very much for opinions, and I will let you guys in future if I am being successful in it.
Regards
