UK business Account for Limited companies

Good morning!

Could any of you clarify if a limited company in the UK has to have a UK business account or is it possible to have your limited company in the UK but get all your income and expenses through a bank account in another EU country? They would not be registering for VAT in the UK as their profits will be way below the threshold.. Has any of you encountered this before?

    I have clients who have a local bank account in their country and nothing here in the UK.

    Its often very hard to get a UK bank account, as many require a UK resident director and others will require the director to come to the UK to visit the bank and then there is no guarantee the bank will open the account. Understandable really.
