Self-Studying Level 3

Hello,

I've read about there being a unit in Level 3 which needs a training provider. Is this the case? I'm looking to self study Level 3 as even though I have an online training provider for Level 2 I've essentially done it on my own yet I paid £550 for it.

    Hi @BU982T

There are in fact two units at Level 3 which you will need a training provider for: Professional ethics (PETH) and Spredsheets (SDST).

    These are both CBPs.

AAT assessments are either Computer Based Tests (CBT) or Computer Based Projects (CBP). CBPs need to be marked by a tutor so you would have to contact a training provider that accepts external candidates for these two units.

So is it possible to study these two units on your own and then simply take the CBP exam with a training provider? Or do the structures of these two units require a training provider to provide both the instruction and the CBP?

    Thank you for your help.

The nature of a CBP means you'll need to be in correspondence with the tutor from the start. However, this would all fall under the cost quoted to you by the training provider when you first enquire about sitting the units with them; you don't pay anything additional for this support.
