When is entertainment not entertainment

My client is a director of his business and is based in the South of England. His client base is actually in London, so spends a lot of time travelling up and meeting his clients in cafe's or restaurants to discuss business (he's a lawyer). The bills are paid for by the company credit card.

If the bill is relatively large (over £30) or/and includes alcohol, I'm putting the cost of the meals and drinks to entertainment.

However, anything lower than this I'm putting through the cost as refreshments.

Is this the correct course of action to take? I've started off completing his books for the year with this in mind but am now beginning to doubt myself!

Thanks for any help.
