Excel Test

What happens if you use alternative formulas in the exam? Or do extra formatting. I have been using excel for years, then chose to do AAT. Got lots of habits on excel that i need to nullify. Would you be penalised or not?

There are multiple ways to sum a row or column and they would all be valid. It's a year since I did this and I had years of Excel. The main thing is attention to detail, if a subtotal has to be boxed or conditional formatted in another way or tab coloured it has to be the way they describe or you won't get all the marks.

    Hi Romili,

As Adele69 has said, as long as the formulas work and you compile your spreadsheet as asked in the question, you should be fine. If they specifically ask you to fill a cell with a yellow background, you need to do this in order to achieve marks.

    Hope that helps
