When coding a finance lease do you enter the initial invoice from a supplier, or do a straight journal, as in Dr Asset Cr Finance lease obligations?

I can not enter a supplier invoice without it going straight to creditors, where am I going wrong?

    Invoice followed by a credit note to land in the NCL if that is the desired location.

    Further details are held in the asset register going forward.

    Your way.
    Create a HP bank
    Purely journal.

    Which is the correct / usual?
