HI, can anyone please explain to me how to solve the problem below I took it from mock exam: as I could not understand it, the answer is:
2000 unit Product L29@31.35 for 30 2090
VAT@20 418
Total 2508

    What is the question? For 30 units you pay 31.35 so 1.045 for one. 1.045x 2000= 2090

    if 30 units cost £31.35, than 2000 units cost £2090 (2000x31.35/30). Net £2090x0.2 (VAT) = £418. Gross = 418+2090=2508. So, I do proportion in cases kike this.

    2000 is y
    y=2000x31.35 divided by 30
    y=2090
