Can you get tax relief on time/work donated to charities?
Options
Morning. I have a client who is a tradesman. He donated his time and some materials to a charity and has been told he can claim tax relief on this? I can't find anything to corroborate this but does anyone know if this is correct? He's a sole trader and I believe it was a sort of diy sos thing?

If he received no money for his time, he can't claim anything for it.
Materials? See the normal rules on charitable donations for a sole trader.2 -
