Evening all,
I am currently studying L3 and would like to apply for the bookkeeping certificate to enable me to become self employed in the near future.
The only problem I have is I currently work full time in an accounts role that does not involve bookkeeping and I am unable to have anyone to sign me off as competent in order to apply for the certificate.
I have tried to look for evening/weekend bookkeeping positions but they are very hard to find!
I can't afford to leave my job atm as a bookkeeping role would be taking a large pay cut.
Has anyone else has the same issue?
I think I saw that I can do books for free to get signed off and then apply for certificate to be able to charge a fee.
Any help appreciated

Finding a mentor is one possibility. For example: meadowgatetraining.co.uk/new-aat-practitioners/0
