Are you just here to tell people not to study AAT?

If you are someone (like me) who's never worked in finance/accounting then AAT is an amazing starting point. It starts out veeery easy and then slowly gets more challenging. It never gets too difficult though. I'm sure ACCA is great and I plan to move to it ASAP but I don't think I could have started with it. You need to know the basics before getting yourself in to chartered accountancy. You might not even like it..
Even though it is very easy at times, it's still things I wouldn't know unless I read it from somewhere and that's what AAT is for- letting you know what you need to know.

    No.

    Just giving my opinion.

If this upsets you and causes you to ask pointless rhetorical questions then I would like to apologise.

For the record, I'm actually a FMAAT (even though it says MAAT in my messages) and have an AAT practising certificate too, and mainly post in the professional members section rather than the student's section. However given all my experience I feel that I have something to offer students who are unsure with regards to AAT.

Good luck with your level 4 exams.
