Well, seeing as there has not yet been a single post in the AATQB sub-forum...I'll kick things off, since I only gained this grade of membership yesterday.

What bookkeeping software do you use (most) in your business/practice?

For the practice I work at, we do most of our limited company accounts in VT Transaction+. Otherwise, we recommend QuickBooks Online to our clients if they want a cloud-based solution they can work with as well.

And that's why, when I first looked at the post-nominals AATQB, I just thought it stood for "AAT QuickBooks"!

Question. By gaining AATQB, what do you gain in "real life"?

To answer your question we use SUN system, prepare all our journals on excel then upload it onto SUN.

Bookkeeping is such a waste of time.

Just ask the client how much profit they want to make, how much tax they want to pay and fill in the gaps.

Ahhh, if only HMRC allowed it to be that easy, @Mickdundee xD

I have 10 clients on Sage 50, 4 on Xero but am looking at moving 2 from Sage 50 to QuickBooks online or Kashflow. Can't decide which to go to.

Why not move them to Xero?

I haven't used QB online but I have used Kashflow in the past and found it a bit cluncky (and bank rec were a pain) - however that was a few years ago so it may have improved since.

I used KashFlow several years ago and found it awful. They didn't even have a nominal ledger of the bank back when I first used it. Although it may be better now.

I'm under the impression Xero (and their 600 app ecosystem) are the market leaders?
