I am 17 and am currently working for the NHS and about to finish my AAT level 2 (in the next month)

I will then be moving straight on to level 3 as soon as I sit my last exam.

What is the best / most effiecient way to move into ACCA/ACA to qualify as Chartered Accountant.

And which is best? (ACCA/ACA/ICAEW)

Hope this makes sence and thank you in advance!

    Finish Level 3 & 4 and then move on to ACCA/CIMA/ACA. With completed Level 4 AAT you will get exemptions from first F3 papers in ACCA.

    I am myself just started studying ACCA after AAT, got my first exam booked in for 25th. Aiming to finish ACCA within 2-2.5 years.

    In regards of which is better, it completely depends what career path you want to take in the future. I work in the practice and in the future want to be fully self-employed, therefore ACCA was a better option for me.

    @AaronCurtinAAT The above advice is good but do you intend to remain in the public sector?

    If so, CIPFA may also be an option for you.

    Hi both,

    At the moment I am unsure as to wether I want to stay in the public sector, but I dont want to limit myself if I do choose to go into private.

    Are you going to professional level?

    Thanks for your help

    Okay brilliant. I find it very confusing as the majority of my work moved into CIMA, so their is not really any guidance for me. Only two people I know of have done ACCA, and they did it before moving into our workplace.

    Thanks for your guidance.

    @AaronCurtinAAT

    13 exams in total, if you've completed AAT Level 4 you will have an exemption from first 3 exams.
