How long do you give yourself time wise for units before taking the exam? Weeks or months?

I have a full time job and 2 kids under 4 and try to give myself 2 months to study before an exam but the time just goes.

So I'm wondering whether to commit fully 4 weeks before an exam.

Any opinions or advice?

    Hi Danny,

I think it depends on how quickly you pick up the individual units, this could therefore vary for the time required for each exam. I would say its best to ensure you have sufficient time for practice questions, practice mocks and revision. This will ensure you do not run out of time before the exam comes round.

I have given myself an average of 3-4 months on the Professional Diploma (Level 4) exams. This to ensure I cover everything and have sufficient time to practice, practice, practice. I haven't got kids but work full-time and dedicated about 10-15 hours a week (more on the final study weeks) prior to exams.
