Good evening,

i hope everyone is staying safe

I wonder if anyone can help me. I am completing a few questions on PPR however am slightly confused by these 2 questions below. As explained in the notes Deemed Occupation the period of time working/living abroad is capped at 48 months (4 years).

In the first question it details the individual lived abroad for 52 months whilst she was working/living abroad.

However as you can see in the solution it has been capped at 48 months.

This is fine and i can see why it has been capped.

However in the question bank the individual lived abroad for 5 years whilst she was working/living abroad.

But in the solution it is not capped at 4 years but the whole 5 years is exempt.

Am i missing something or is this solution in the question bank incorrect.

Thank you for any guidance in advance! :)

Not sure I see what you mean, how many months do you think there is between
    1st August 2002 and the 31st July 2006 ?

    Is what the OP said

I dont see what is wrong with the answers given, Question 1 = 48 months is correct and Question 2 = 5 years is correct

Why is 5 years correct if it is meant to be capped at 4 years?

Working abroad through employment is not capped, only self-employment or employment in the UK is capped
