I am anxious about starting AAT and changing my career

I am 35 years old. I currently work a zero hours contract as one of the administrators in the Civil Service. It is a great job and I have enjoyed working there. However, after the lockdown started and I couldn't go into work it gave me a lot of time to think. Do I want to do this for the rest of my life? Thinking about that made me realise I feel quite stuck professionally. There is a lot of room to develop in administration, but there is not much opportunity to progress that feels right for me. I feel it is time to move on. I can go back to work once the lockdown is lifted, and I can cut down my hours to fund my course. But if I can find somewhere where I can train part-time (even if it is voluntary) that would be amazing! I just don't know how or where to start looking. Any tips?

    An apprenticeship might be an option? There is no age limit now so if it works financially this would be an opportunity to learn and receive an income. You can search for apprenticeships here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship

    Thank you for your reply @AAT_Team , that sounds a lot like me :)
    An apprenticeship would be a perfect place for me to start. Maybe more opportunities will arise after the lockdown has lifted a bit more. I will keep looking.
