Confused using DEAD CLIC but seems to contradict

I thought an expense account was debit which is how i learned from DEAD CLIC but in CTRM its saying the bank payment is on the debit side? What am i missing?

    You appear to have forgotten the concept of double entry.

    You debit the expense account and credit the bank account.
