Hello all, i was wondering if anyone had dealt with art grants before? Are they classed as taxable income? I have read some conflicting articles and it appears to be a grey area, so i just wanted to know if anyone has experience of doing artists self assessment before that have involved grants.

    Hi Idurdey grants can be taxable but a lot of it depends can depend on the grant (if not taxablity then timing)

    Although I've dealt a little with grants I haven't done any in the arts so am unfamiliar with any conditions attached to them.
