Best distance/independent learning materials for ACCA

Hi everyone

I did AAT several years ago totally independently (just reading books and exams) and was lucky enough to get a role supporting my development in tax so also have ATT and CTA.

I’m now feeling the itch to do something more (exams really are a great motivator for me to learn) and looking at ACCA as it looks easier to study independently than ACA which seems to need more ‘sign offs’ from work.

I’ve bought a BPP ebook, but found it doesn’t fit well on my phone (big screen!) which I’d be using to read on my way to/from work (on a busy train so often stand and iPad not practical).

Does anyone have my suggestions of material (ideally a full course but potentially reading/videos that can be downloaded/podcasts).

If anyone has a sample of Kaplan’s ebook for ACCA I’d love to see some examples of how it looks on a phone - with BPP it was simply an electronic copy of the book which was fine apart from tiny text and infuriating margins!

I know this is an old post, but posting reply just incase someone is going through something similar...

For self study, Open Tuition website is great as they have excellent videos, eBooks and flashcards for ACCA and other qualifications. All free of charge and also have qualified ACCA tutors who reply back to questions on a daily basis. The website is well looked after as if it was a paid service, but its free. The course material is updated regularly to be in line with each tax year too.

    Hope that helps.
