Hi! I'm just hoping for a little bit of advice please as I've been sitting here all day trying to figure out what to do.
I'm awaiting my final ACCA exam result next Monday so in leiu of that, I've been looking today at what I need to do to get my ACCA practicing certificate.
That apparently involves having to get 3 years worth of experience with an ACCA approved employer or a firm that would have been eligible to register.
I currently have my own bookkeeping business which I've had for 5 or so years now and my options are to either close the business down and find an employed job for three years; get someone to take over my role in my business for three years while I'm employed or leave ACCA and go with the AAT MIP but I'm 14 exams in and it seems like such a shame to waste all the time/effort/money I've put into this over the years.
My head and my heart are all over the place and I'd just like to know what you would do if you were in this situation. I just need a bit of advice because I'm so lost right now!

Have you tried phoning ACCA?
Is there anyone else in your business who does any accounting work rather than bookkeeping who may be able to sign off your work? Even if not ACCA
If not I can’t see how you will get a PC from ACCA without the relevant experience0
