Just wanting to know if anyone knows if there is a certain percentage you have to get to pass intermediate level or if you have to get everything correct to be classed as 'competent'?
How many attempts do you get to pass exams?

You need to be 'competent' in both sections of the paper to pass, for example, if you got 100% right in section 1, but only got 10% right in section 2, you would not be classed as 'competent' overall. Not sure what the exact pass mark is, but our lecturer has always said its around 75-80% in all sections of the paper.

Not sure how many times you can re-take, I've read on other messages on the forum from students on their forth re-take for some subjects. Perhaps it is unlimited? Anyone else know?

until QCA decide to change the syllabus - don't be negative though - for FRA especially - if you work through the tutorial and do the workbook by yourself - you WILL pass no problems - NVQ's are normally reviewed 3 yearly - this is just a guide so you have at least 5 more tries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS - there will now be more papers for practise available too.........

I did work through the workbook and could not manage some of the questions as they were not explained in the tutorial/workbook. My whole class at the college could not do those questions either. Looks like we have all failed. My college are querying exam papers though.
