Hi

My college is rubbish and lessons consist of no more than reading the BPP literature with most of the subject matter self taught at home. I am thinking of distance learning to complete my AAT studies. Does anybody have any experience of this? Also does anybody have any experience of the fast track courses available by distance learning?

Many thanks

Bill
Hiya!

I did the Intermediate level with Premier Training. I got my home study pack in the December and had finished the studying by March, and was ready for the exams in June. And passed them. So you go as fast as you like with home study, as long as you can keep up and absorb the theories.

Good luck!

Helenx0 -

The beauty of distance learning is that you go at your own pace. I'm with BPP on the recomendation of my Financial Controller who also studied with them by distance learning.

The main "problem" is that you have to be self-motivated. But, for anyone with a busy schedule, it's great. Although you might miss the association with others of like mind, the freedom it gives you more than makes up for it.

I agree with you about the college. It's useful if you have no other source of help, but the BPP manuals, which are designed to be interactive, are very comprehensive.

Try it. You can always go back to college next year if you don't like it.0 -

If you have a home study package from BPP don't forget that help is only at the end of the phone. Make sure you're not struggling on your own. If you hit a difficult topic you should have a personal tutor number to call. If you don't know what this is please get in touch with BPP.0 -
