Hi, Does anyone know where I can learn about this package. I want to either do a course in computerised accounting but dont know where to go. I would consider distance learning. I have no idea how to use a computer for accounting and I would like to learn. Thanks. I live in Newcastle by the way.

    Hi MissL<BR><BR>Sage offer various training packages - from self study workbooks through to 2 day training courses, as well as introduction to bookkeeping courses. Have you tried their web-site - www.sage.co.uk or tel 0800 33 66 33.? There is also a training centre in Newcastle @ Gosforth, which should be handy for you.<BR><BR>I used the work books to set up a new system at the last firm I worked for - they were very useful and you can work at your own pace.<BR><BR>Good luck<BR><BR>Jan

    Hi, You can do SAGE line 50 via learn direct costs approx £40.00<BR>You can also do a computer course with them for a nominal fee, these can either be done at a learn direct centre or at home. Hope this helps.

    Noticed a good package on ebay for 4.99 a CD but if you dont know what you are doing this is rote learning and therefore you could be a danger to anyone in accounts. Go on a basic IT course say CLAIT or ECDL, you then need a basic book-keeping qualification say Pitman or OCR at the very least. Armed with these two course you would be ready. Good Luck

    I did Pitmans at Hull College, I know that is a bit out of your way, but Im sure that Pitmans do open learning on the net, the course gives a decent basic knowledge of Sage, but the best way to learn as ever is to get out there are use the package, try installing a copy on your PC to practise with like a dummy company<BR><BR>Sage is a great system to use, we are all linked into it at work and I also use it for my own businesses, the more info you give Sage, the more info it can feed back to you.<BR><BR>Keep at it<BR><BR>Jo
