This must be the most asked, yet unanswered question posted on the memberâ??s forum.

The reason it remains unanswered may be due to the innumerable roles within practice which can be charged, regional variations and entry level pricing considerations (low balling â??Sssh!!!).

However, good old â??too sensitive to shareâ?? canâ??t be ignored.

Somehow, itâ??s a bit like asking a lady her age. How much do you charge? Are you cheap or are you fleecing your clients?

For the more ruthless of ye out there the answer isâ?¦ as much as the client is happy to pay, and likely to remain a client for next year. Otherwise a lot more specifics are required to enable members in practice to know how much could be charged, but that still doesnâ??t mean theyâ??ll tell ye! ;-)
0 -

I went down this route and rorginally charged £12.50 per hr. Whilst I got loads of work I soon realised that I was limiting my income by how many hours I worked. I then changed my policy into pricing per job (risky but you have to have all the facts first) and strictly inform the client in writing what this fixed amount. That way if you are asked to complete additional tasks then you can agree a charge for that. Also on that point agree a charge before hand otherwise the client can later refuse to pay. I now find that on average I get around £25.00 an hour doing it this way and I am not working as many hours.

Hope this helps. BY the way I work in the Nottinghamshire area so this may be different in your area.

Sandra0 -
