Am just starting technician level and already we have to start thinking about our mas project. Feeling a bit stuck, as I'm not working at the moment, and haven't worked in an accounting environment for 7 years! Would appreciate any feedback on what other people have based their project on. If you are not working you need to look at either voluntary work i.e. pta or playgroup and improve their systems or you will need to do the case study.0 -

I'm going to college one night a week, but I think we're left pretty much to our own devices on the project. They haven't mentioned a case study, but I've only been in for induction, when they told us to think about a subject and title for our project. Don't have much of a clue what it's all about so far.0 -

Our tutor has told us to stay away from the AAT case study because you have to do more work! Nobody needs that at this stage!<BR><BR>What you are trying to do is think of a way of improving an accounting system in your work place. I sat down with my boss and we discussed the crap bits of my job and the improvements.<BR><BR>To get your brain thinking here's some suggestions:<BR>Improvements to the purchase/sales ledger, aged debtor analysis (that's what I'm doing) or credit control.
