I have just been reading some of the threads, asking for copies of the MAS project or answers to this that and the other.

Some of the threads had 50 or so replies wanting something. If I were good enough to send someone a copy of something, then 50 or so people jumped in and wanted same, I think I would be inclined to say sod off, I'm not sending to that lot! And of course, I think work would kick off that I am sending that many faxes or whatever.

I managed to get hold of a complete set of papers and answers from my college (and they were free), why dont these 50-odd people ask their local colleges instead of writing on here?

Looking down the list of topics, you can guarantee there is always a cry for help for a past paper or help on the Project. Just get on with it people! There are hundreds of us who have done the project and also got answer papers - why cant you?

Maybe I am just in a bad mood or something. I think the moderators of this forum should maybe stop these kinds of threads as they are tedious as its topic after topic for the same thing.

Sorry for ranting
Mandy
- x -

Hi Mandy

Actually they have stepped in, and were very straight to the point about copy write and students cheating.
It is in the General forum if you want to read.

www.aat.co.uk/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=18&threadid=3925

Claire0 -

Mandy,

Although I think that you are right in some respects some of us dont study at college and therefore dont have the luxury of asking our teacher for free papers.
If you have to pay for your course then paying £14 a time for past paper answers can add up especially at technician level where you have 5 exams to take.

We are supposed to be here to help each other out, and whilst some people may just be being lazy most of us need this help.

There is no difference to asking someone to email copies of a paper or asking someone to check you answers to a question.

I think that you got out of bed on the wrong side.

0 -

Just to muddy the waters.

I see nothing wrong (even morally) with asking for exam papers (including answers) - although, it is against AAT rules.0 -

Hi,
I am with you on that one Seamus. Past exam papers and answers were a big part of my studying. I don`t know what i would have done without this forum either.

Regards,

Sarah0 -

Well yeah, I can see I was maybe not at my best when I started this.

But just to confirm to Jennie, that the book from AAT which costs £14 includes the whole session's exams and answers, from Foundation to Technician level. But yeah, if you are going to pay for 10 sessions back, then it will get costly.

So sorry for being nasty. I think I was just miffed at all the "oh will you just send me a copy too" posts (and it bugs me when people dont say please and thank yous).

I love you all really
Mandy
- x -

0
