Help, I am really struggling. Started AAT in Sept, missed Foundation year. Has anyone completed Practice Exam 1 Sarah Glass; KW Enterprise (page 202) FRA Workbook. Need Help on first couple of tasks to get me going.<BR><BR>Thanks

    Hiya<BR><BR>I have only had eight lessons and didn't do the Foundation year, so I maybe too adventurous or lacking in confidence.<BR><BR>Task 1.1 I have the answer as £430620<BR><BR>Task 1.2 £775100<BR><BR>Task 1.3 £854050<BR><BR>Just want to know if I am heading in the right direction.<BR><BR>Can you help please?<BR><BR>If my answers are wrong, can you explain please.<BR><BR>Thanks<BR><BR>Linda

    How did you get that figure? It might be easier for you to do a Sales Ledger Control Account in the T-account format because this task is dealing with incomplete records.<BR><BR>The way I worked this out is as follows:<BR><BR>Start with your opening balance on Debtors of 52300 (found on the balance sheet) (DR side of control account)<BR>enter receipts found from the bank of 722,800 (CR side of control account)<BR>enter your closing balance of debtors as per the outstanding balance as at 30 April 59,020 (CR side of control account)<BR><BR>then work out your balancing figure. This should total 729520, which is your total credit sales.<BR><BR>hope this helps!<BR><BR>Michelle<BR><BR>
