Personal tax exam Friday and OAP's

My lecturer thinks age allowances, married couple allowance and all aged stuff won't come up as it is not tested anymore, is that the general opinion as I would love not to learn it. (One less thing to worry about)

    I also sat the June exam and failed on the CGT part. Looking at the past paper now I can not work out how the no of exempt months are worked out in the first of part 2. Can any one help me on this?

    Hi<BR>The period 31/1/88 - 31/1/90 is 2 years deemed occupation because he was working abroad and lived in the house before and afterwards.<BR>Period 1/4/94 - 1/4/03 is 3 years deemed occupation for any reason and 2 years 4 mths deemed occupation because its part of the last 3 years of ownership. That period is also 3 years 8 months absent.<BR>Period 1/4/03 - 30/11/03 is 8 months lived in.<BR>You end up with 7 years 2 months lived in<BR>7 years 4 months deemed occupation and<BR>3 years 8 months absent.<BR>Not sure I have explained it very clearly but I hope it helps you.<BR>Good luck for Friday, I will be there too!!!
