Hey can anyone recall what they got as there figure for the consolidated balance sheet the first task???

    Something like 95638 i think, deffo ended in 638 anyhow.

    Yeah that figure was what I ended up with also. Whilst on the topic of the balance sheet I noticed that there was a heading for provisons (something to do with liabilities) I put proposed dividends in there was that right? I hadn't come accross this before in my text books or when doing past papers.

    Whaever I got 95368 or 95638 the balance sheet balanced.<BR><BR>Paper seemed very straight forward today. They chose some really easy ratios to calculate.<BR><BR>The exam did take a fair time to do but everything seemed to flow together nicely and everything balanced. I was chuffed today.<BR><BR>Even managed to quote the definition of an asset and a liability to the text book,<BR><BR>Shame BTC wasn't as easy! But that's life I guess

    Yep thats what i got 95368. and my cash flow balanced to the overdraft and cash 1076. it was brilliant. the ratios were easy peasy as well. very time pressured and a very long section 1. i have to say that the paper was what i had exactly studied for with no red herrings per say!!! The report was a bit intense task 1.6 Unwittington Ltd change in net cash flow between 2003 and 2004. Was running out of time and had to move on quickly as i suddenly remembered i was still on section 1 ...yikes.......<BR><BR>

    <BR><BR>...like write a memo to the director in respone to his query ' why's the cash flow a miserable - 1076???'<BR><BR>'Erm, well you see, sir, erm, you've just gone and blown just under TEN MILLION on a new fixed asset. Next question...?'<BR><BR><BR>OH SH!T ! I've just realised I forgot to give my consolidated Balance Sheet a header, a date or a title. How many points will that cost me?<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>

    Although the exam was pretty time pressured I was still sad enough at the end to see if I had got my P + L for Leakingham correct by rectifying the B'S and it balanced so that looks ok!

    Oh god, I thought the cash flow question was asking you to comment on the net cash flow from operating activities and not about the actual decrease in cash at the end of the cash flow - I think I may have answered the wrong question.

    Can't remember what the balance sheet figure was exactly, but I nearly cried when the Capital & Reserves balanced to the same figure...phew. It settled me down nicely and quite enjoyed the rest of the exam (NERD !!). I wasn't sure about the profit & loss statement though and was too scared to do the balance sheet, all I could think was PINT !!!
