Okay, perhaps I'm the only one out there who found the DFS exam a little tricky today. Perhaps though I was under a little pressure as the roads were gridlocked (and I mean no chance of going anywhere) so that although I allowed 3 times as much time as I needed to get there I was still late and missed the beginning of the exam. Then to top it all I pranged the car. I couldn't concentrate on anything after that. I couldn't write let alone work a calculator.

Thanks to everyone who helped me though , especially Claire Kilbaine who seems to have time for everyone on this site.

To you few others out there who found today alittle less than straight forward - I'll be thinking of you next June!!

Thanks - but what an awful day
hi, didnt take dfs but wanted to say sorry about your day. it sounds as if you live near london with the traffic? did you bump your car on the way to the exam?
i think its awful the way we get so worked up about an exam. i dont think there is any need really but it doesnt stop us does it? i have got exam this morning , have had a lousy night sleep, and have got personal tax tomorrow and believe me i will be SO glad when tomorrow afto is here and i can get a life for a bit, been eating drinking sleeping aat for the last month!!
also i took ecr in june which was a bad exam, everyone complained about sec 2, then mondays, yet again another shock in sec two, so my nerves are really shattered for today, and tommorrow, since i felt confident about the other two and not these two.

anyway, all the best, hope you feel better today.
xx0 -

Spud, I do feel for you. I'm not sure what the rules are, but is it worth asking the AAT if pranging your car counts as extenuating circumstances? Apologies if you've already discussed this elsewhere, I haven't looked at the boards for a few days. I know it's not illness, and I don't think traffic would be considered, but depending on the severity of your prang it might be worth trying?0 -
