Can anyone help! <BR><BR>What 6 things make up gross pay???<BR><BR>Also, how do you calculate variance??<BR><BR>any help would be grateful! thanks!

    For gross pay i would suggest:<BR><BR>Net pay<BR>Income tax<BR>N.I.C.<BR>Pension<BR>Overtime?<BR>Charity donations?<BR><BR>Variance of what?

    Ok here goes, lol<BR><BR>Gross Pay - I dont think there is just 6 things - I will see how many i know<BR><BR>Time worked<BR>Over time worked<BR>Bonuses<BR>Expenses<BR>erm.......<BR>Sick Pay (not 100% sure!)<BR>I cant think...... and I work in Payroll<BR><BR>For unit 4 you need to know that Employee NHI is posted to gross pay but is not gross pay for employees payslip purposes!!<BR><BR><BR>A variance is the difference between the 2 figures! <BR>So if you have budget and actual - take one from the other!<BR><BR><BR>Amanda

    Thats interesting scotty, maybe i miss read the message<BR><BR>You need to make the gross pay to be able to make the net pay and tax and ni and pensions etc<BR><BR>Amanda
