Advice on whether to choose AAt or ACCA?

I have studied Professional Diploma in Marketing (CIM) and also working towards BCOM Management degree from South Africa. I am now thinking of studying the AAT, however some friends are telling me that ACCA is better? Please can someone help with deciding which is the better course to study? Does anyone know if there are any colleges near to Northamptonshire that are quite reasonable for foreign students? <BR><BR>Regards

    I am doing ACCA at the moment at University college, northampton and I know northampton college (different place) do AAT and have a good reputation for it.<BR><BR>As for which you should do, there are reasons for and against all options. I believe AAT gives a good grounding for ACCA but if ACCA is what you want to do then you may as well go straight for it, it all depends as well as to whether you have any accounts knowledge previously.

    I agree with the Bluewednesday. If you have knowledge on Accounts then you can start ACCA or otherwise the best advice is to Start with AAT, Which will give you a very good ground knowledge on Accounts. <BR><BR>As I myself had experience on switching back from CIMA to AAT. Highly recommended by all the firms in UK.<BR><BR>Abul<BR>
