Just wondering if any one has any advice for me. I do not work in an accounting environment and am very stuck as to what to do for the project. I spoke to my tutor and she just said ask a friend who works in the environment, but its hard to encroach on someone else. I want to do the simulation as that seems the best option for me but she didnt seem keen in me doing it.
Has anyone ever done the simulation for the project and how did they find it? Or has any one got any ideas for me.
Thanks

Project - Help
I am doing the case study now. I am finding the whole thing a bit of a headache but no more than I would in a live report situation - the main problem ensuring that all the PCs and K&U is covered in the Student Record. The advantage of the case study I suppose is that all the information is there for you and you simply have to analyse this and make recommendations. I am basing mine on the payroll function but note that another student could find no problem within this area which serves to prove how subjective this unit is. I know two other people in our class who are also doing the payroll function and know that we will all produce very different reports as we are all very different characters and have totally different approaches to things.

One point I would mention is that our college ordered the simulation back in September and it only just arrived towards the end of November just before the December sitting. We did have time allocated on the timetable up until Christmas for guidance and review for this unit and this time has now been lost as it is now allocated for another unit. In view of the time involved for ordering, etc I would think very carefully before committing to this. You don't want to be trying to complete the project in the lead up to exams in the summer or after the exams are over.

0 -

Thanks for your help. I will think carefully, but I cant really see any other option, all though my tutor insists that I should find some other way.0
