I'M STILL LOOKING TO START MY APPRENTICESHIP AND I WAS WONDERING EXACTLY WHAT TYPE OF JOB DO I NEED TO FIND. WILL A PURCHASE LEDGER POSITION BE APPROPRIATE? THANKYOU IN ADVANCE.

    Hi Mukhtiar,<BR><BR>A good start would be a job that offers a study package, a lot of companies will help by paying for your courses and also provide the backing you need to get through the course. When looking for a job check the benefits as they will state whether they offer any kind of help there.<BR><BR>I feel that a purchase ledger position will possibly be OK for foundation, although having been in that position found it to be a struggle, especially if your employers are not offering any assistance with your studies. <BR><BR>You would be better looking for Trainee Accounts positions or even accounts assistants (some will take you on in the early stages of AAT study).<BR><BR>Hope this has helped a little, Iâ??m sure that plenty of people out there have started in different roles and can offer further guidance.<BR><BR>Regards<BR><BR>NeoGen<BR>

    Hi, i have been doing foundation since December 04. I registered with an agency, told them i would like a job with a study package. I did'nt mind what level i started at mainly because if i started as a ledger clerk i would not feel that i had been thrown into the deep end. They found me a job in 2 weeks as a ledger clerk, pay £13700 plus package and benefit's and so far i'm really enjoying it. I have also found it useful been able to put into practise what i am learning and find my co workers and boss very helpful. Hope this helps.
