i'm currently struggling through my foundation, distance learning with PT. I'm sitting the exam in June and dreaded it. Like more than you could ever know. I know i'm not putting in enough time with my studies, i just don't think my heart is in it. I got my 3 assignements out the way, merit, distinction and distinction - but always had my books to hand to help me through them. But NOW these dreaded skills tests, Oh my god i'm soooooooo cr*p at them!!!
I did my first practice one the other week and it took me about 5 hours instead of the 3 and now i've come to do the 2nd one on making and receiving payments i'm finding i've had to read the whole bleeding unit again!!!

Anyway, let me know how your getting on and if by some chance you have a miricle spare, please don't hesitate to throw it my way.

Stressed out Sarah
xx

    Hi Stressed out Sarah,

sorry but found your posting funny. But only because I feel exactly the same as you!! I am distant learning and relied on my books but when it came to the skills tests oops..... I didn't have the luxury of practice skills tests so it was a bit deep end and I thought I was ready, obviously not! I've blown it and I'd wish I could have practiced them before hand. All I can say is keep practising, make yourself do it and you will come out on top. I got last years exam papers, copied them 10 times and kept doing it until I was happy with what I was doing and I took my exam last June and came out after 1 hour and 20 mins and I passed.

You are not alone... lol..

Mandy

    Hi Guys and Gals

We have all been in the same situation, Me too, thats why I did the MSN Foundation Group!!!

If your not a member already then come and join!!
http://groups.msn.com/aatfoundation

On the site is Practise Skills Tests and Practise Exams. Do as many as both as you can get your hands on even if you have passed your skills tests, still do more to revise with. Pass papers with answers are available from AAT now and I think I have a few of the older ones available with answers if needed.

I did study with PT but I think there have changed the books since I did foundation (which was only last year) So do ALL in the books you have.

I think its when you feel down that you dont understand that makes you hate picking up that book. Believe me, we have all done it, Just pick it up, read it again if you have too and then one day, like magic it will just click and you will wonder what all the worry was about.

I hope to see you on the MSN Foundation site soon!!

Amanda
