I live in north wales, and will hopefully be passing the tehnician level in June, and i want some help on how much i should charge clients for my services. Mainly just the basic services:<BR>Accounts Prep<BR>Book Keeping<BR>Self Assessments - Personal & Business<BR> I dont want to lose business by being to expensive and yet dont want to be too cheap.<BR><BR>Can anyone help moi???

    Hello,<BR><BR>As i my kind advice to you is to get a client, you have to start your charges from the lower than the marker rate. you can enquire with your local accounts company how much they are charging for whatever you can do for your clients, reduce couple of £100 pounds from whatever their charge to your clients.     Debbie<BR><BR>Wouldn't you think that £20.00 an hour was a reasonale fee - assuming a job takes say 5 hours, the fee would then be about £92.00. I know where i work my charge out rate is about £45.00 per hour, so the same job completed at work would cost the client £225.00 plus what ever time the partner has spent, say they would have a charge out rate of about £100 hour - they may spend half an hour reviewing the job!

    I find that i charge different amounts for different jobs - some people want flat rate and others an hourly one - bookkeeping etc i tend to charge about £15.00 per hour - payroll about £3.50 per payslip (+ then a flat fee for year end submissions - if they ever get done online!). VAT is either per hour or flat fee of about £150.00.<BR><BR>Accounts preparation and business s/assessment depends on what is involved - anything from about £400 upwards. Personal s/assessment often less as often not much involved, and they always say "its just...." and then it never is.<BR><BR>Hope this helps - i live in Norfolk - so about as far out of the way as North Wales!<BR><BR>Claudia<BR>
