Hi,<BR><BR>I am about to sit the Simulation for Unit 5, has anyone else sat it? How did it go?

    Hi <BR><BR>I sat unit 5 just before Easter and there were a couple of tricky bits, I think there is more than one paper that the teachers can choose as another of my friends at a different college had something completley different!<BR><BR>In the one I sat you needed to know disposals, fixed assets, how to reconcile the fixed assets to a given count of fixed assets, loads of double entry, the etb included adjustments of stock in the form of WIP, bad debt provisions, accruals and prepayments.<BR><BR>Good luck everyone! Im sitting unit 7 in a couple of weeks has anyone sat that yet??

    I'm sitting it after the easter the holidays!<BR><BR>Does anyone have a copy of the Unit 7 simulation from the Osborne Book, I could have? We use the BPP book for this subject, and I don't find it very good!<BR><BR>Thanks

    Hi Fiona<BR><BR>I've sat uniit 7, its quite straight forward, just as long as your keyed up on consolidation of accounts and indices. Then you'll be ok.<BR><BR>I'm doing Unit 5 mid April, my heads mashed already. Especially with all the double entry for the retiring of a partner, appropriation, goodwill etc... <BR><BR>Good luck!

    Hi Disco Diva<BR><BR>In the unit 5 sim that I sat there was nothing about partners leaving or retiring which was ok, there was a bit about goodwill and the profit split had to be changed after 6 months so the current and capital accounts section was quite straightforward.<BR><BR>Heidi
