Hi All - Im in desperate need of some help regarding formulas. I would say this is really ADVANCED stuff and if anybody wants to give it a go leave your e-mail address and ill send you a worksheet of what im trying to acheive.
Basially im trying to do the following. 1. Create a formula that will let me know how many days to go until an invoice is due for payment. 2. if its overdue put the gross amount in the correct period
Its much more complicated than it sounds. Maybe someone allready has a template to send me.
Jamie

Hi

I have something like this working on our system but it relates to customer invoices. I have entered a conditional formatting formula in the outstanding amount cell which will highlight the amount once it is equal to or more than 29 days old.

In my system I have a worksheet which summarises all invoices issued. Where column C is the date the invoice was issued the formula is:-

=C3<=TODAY()-29

This formula is entered in the balance outstanding column as a conditional format. Don't forget to specify red (or any other colour) using the format button underneath where you enter the formula. I only use the 29 day one as some customers pay by the skin of their teeth on the 30th day so don't start issuing letters until the full 30 have past but you could reduce it to say 20 days to remind you which customers needed statements sending to remind them or in your case to remind you when supplier payments will need to be made in advance of the event. Hope this helps.

0 -
