Aaah! The dreaded portfolio question again.

I'm sure that this has been asked many, many times now but I am still struggling to sort my portfolio out. I have way to much stuff in it and need to weed out the items that are not really needed and enter it all in such a manner that it is easy to find for the assessors. I have done the practice simulations and the actual simulations for units 1 & 2. I also have a lot of paper work for units 21, 22 & 23.

Do I need to enter both the practice simulation and the actual simulation or can I just enter the simulation?

Do I need to include the questions book? Or just the answers book?

Also, I have heard people mention about filling in the blanks by writing a statement to compliment the evidence, I am not the most academic person on the planet and have no idea where or how to start this. So if anyone can give me an example it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Nick
Portfolio Question - Again ;o)
Hi Nick

Long time since we heard from you, and here you are clogging up the forum with loads of questions!!!!

For my portfolio, I got a witness statement from work and basically I went through every section of the aat paperwork for each unit and they typed up (for example), Unit 1, A B C D etc and said what it was that I did at work to cover each point, they have gone all through every unit and I have a witness statement for each one that covers almost every point required.

Sorry if this doesn't make too much sense!! I have a really bad headache caused by stress of work and exams!!!!!!

Take care Nick, don't worry too much about Intermediate/Foundation, my college basically recommends students who it thinks are capable of moving up (regardless if they take their exam now or in Dec), and based upon this evidence they can study Intermediate before completing Foundation. I am home studying Intermediate at the moment whilst still on Foundation level at college.

Hope everything works out for you, take care, and good luck with the exams.

Tracy0 -
Portfolio Question - Again ;o)
Hi Tracey,

lol, I've been up to my neck in decorating and moving out, but not in! Everything we posess is now in storage, and it has been very tough trying to keep on top of the AAT course which has to be said I didn't manage. So I am now a tad behind, June exam looming, still have to move from Suffolk to Sheffield and all my AAT books folders etc are in a box requiring sorting out. Hence I will probably post a few times in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the help.

Nick0
