Hello!

I've just taken BTC revision course and my tutor told us there's no point in practicing past exam papers, as all the tax band, ect are different.

When I did PEV, DFS and PCR revision last November, I was given tons of past papers (going back to last century!), it was reassuring to practice them at home.

Is there any other 'mock' exam papers I can try at home (apart from the ones from my FTC book)?

Thanks. YOKO

Hi there are 4 practice papers for PTC in the BPP PTC book and its worth looking at both 2004 papers as the rules have only changed slightly, ie tax bands, exemptions etc

    Hi
Although things do change after each budget, it is worth practising on past papers to get an idea of what sort of questions they ask. Have a look on the AAT website and print them off and just keep practising, but applying the rules that apply now -the answers will be different from the ones they give with the paper because of the difference percentage rules, but you will be up for any question that they throw at you in the exam.

Best of luck

    Thanks for your replies.

Come to think of it, I can borrow other work books (ie; BPP) at my college and I can do it at their library. They won't let me have phocotopies, due to copy right registration (so they said).

I've just taken PTC revision last weekend and my different tuitor told us that we can try 2004 June and December paper (using 2003 tax band) at home, but we shouldn't go further than June 2004.

I have now downloaded December 2004 papers from AAT website. Good to know that they didn't lay down computation format to fill it in; we must write it down on a blank paper.

Anyway, good luck to my fellow tax exam students!
