can you give some eplanation, it is really confusing, here it goes, calculate the standard usage of material for actual production

    That just means how much material you're suppose to use to make that amount of production (not how much you actually did use)<BR><BR>Is that okay?<BR><BR>Glenn

    I think I am fine now, thanks much, what I actually does was to cross multiply, a little maths, I will never forget,eg 22,500kg is to produce 7500 units, how much of that amount is to make 6500, which is the actual. 22,500=7500<BR>x= 6500, cross multiply, and do my calculations.<BR><BR>coss multiply can also be done for the calculation of standard hours for the actual production.<BR><BR>thanks much your answer drive me in doing that, you really cant go in the exam swatting every formula,

    If it takes 22,500kg to produce 7,500 units then:<BR><BR>22,500/7,500 = 3kg per unit. That's the standard usage. So 6,500 units should use:<BR><BR>6,500 x 3kg = 19,500kg.<BR><BR>(whatever it actually took to make the 6,500 units, take it away from 19,500kg and times by the standard price per kg to get the variance)
