Hi,<BR><BR>I was wondering if you could please help me. <BR><BR>Iâ??m a new student who has skipped the foundation level because of my previous qualifications and have started at intermediate level. My first exams are in June this year and because of recent circumstances I havenâ??t been able to complete my entire portfolio for the intermediate section. I have been told not to worry and that I can complete the intermediate portfolio work at technication level next year. Can you please confirm if this is true or not and where I stand please?<BR><BR>Thank you very much for your time<BR><BR>Richard<BR><BR>

    Not even started my porfolio yet, taking my intermediate exams too in june.<BR>Only thing i have for mine so far is the covers of the sims for unit 5, 6 and 7.<BR>Havent even thought about what else needs to go into it, and my tutor hasnt even mentioned it. (im home study)<BR>So, i guess i will look at it after the exams, before i get cracking with technician level.<BR>Need to so H&S and Working with Computers too!!!<BR>

    Ah thatâ??s great newsâ?¦ Iâ??m not alone! Iâ??m exactly the same as you except I use to go college on a day release each week. Although it has to be said I think Iâ??ve learnt more from revising at home then I ever did at college. Iâ??m thinking about doing a home study course instead next year for my technication level.     Shaz and I both study via home study with <BR><BR>www.premiertraining.co.uk<BR><BR>I havent studied via a college so cant say what its like compared to home study! I am finding home study fairly easy, passed PLB with no problems and doing FRA in June!!<BR><BR>I havent done any portfolio for intermediate and I was still doing foundations portfolio when I started Intermediate.<BR><BR>Amanda

    Least you have done the health and safety bits and the working with computers amanda!<BR>I really must get my act together and take a look at them after the exams.<BR>Want to have completed it all by the end of June so that i can start on technician from July/August ish!!<BR><BR>Not that i intend to take any exams this december unless the finance side of the technician is easy! ha ha i wish!!

    I'm just finishing Tech level.<BR><BR>If you are intending to complete Tech in one year I would advise making a start onthe project in the summer. I left mine till the last minute and it adds extra stress.<BR><BR>The costing exams in the Tech level follow on from Int so they're not too bad. The worst one I found was DFS. Cash Man is a nice easy option to do. I did personal tax and cash man.<BR><BR>Helen

    Helen, Premier training recommend that if you do one tax paper then you should do the other!!<BR>So not sure what papers to do yet. Was the personal tax one i was interested in. Just not sure what the others involve really yet.<BR><BR>Have already downloaded your bits from MSN site Amanda on H&S and WWC, but just not looked at them.<BR>Its encouraging to know it wont take long though, thanks.<BR><BR>My tutor at Premier Training wanted me to get cracking on technician costing study as she said its follows on, but i decided to wait till i had finished intermediate, as i have not found ECR as easy as maybe i should have!<BR><BR>Still, few weeks of study to go, fingers crossed.<BR>Shaz<BR><BR>

    hi sorry to interrupt, but i was just wondering when you do the home study way, how do you do the simulations, do you have to go to a local college are something? i do the course in college and its treated like an exam in exam conditions. Im thinking of doing the payroll by homestudy.<BR><BR>Thanks for your help

    You have to have a supervisor for the sims.<BR><BR>my supervisor is my employer but I think there is a list of people it can be (not family or friends) and all they have to do is to ensure you are not cheating etc.<BR><BR>Amanda

    Hi everyone<BR><BR>as you can see, I've just joined up and am really struggling to complete the ECR section of my portfolio and it has to be done before I do my exam this month as the External Verifier has so kindly picked my name as one of the lucky ones!<BR><BR>Any advice on what type of evidence to use for certain parts would be much appreciated as I find they have worded it so complicated and am finding it difficult to get my head round it with having to work full-time and study on an evening (and other things).<BR><BR>Please help!<BR><BR>Kel
